Honestly, I have not been the greatest at writing reviews or doing interviews lately. Just a little insight into my job: I am a lawyer by day, I run ultramarathons during my free time and I also am trying to set up another several businesses.
So I was honestly a bit surprised still being approached with this track. Sofia Gillani’s name did not tell me anything at first, but when I saw her recent release was titled “Read Your Mind” and read something about being avant garde pop, I got curious.

Also, life got on the way and everything was hectic and busy and I still did not write the review when I thought I would. But that is a good thing. I mean, I would have said something like oh yeah it is a nice track, really vibing with it, keep up the good work.
But now?
I think it is amazingly different from what I have come across recently. We all have heard those AI-created tracks that even sometimes win awards (why?). This is a whole different thing. This is a journey. I have been listening to this on repeat the whole time I have been writing this, which is not what I usually do – I need to focus to get my words out, but right now they are flowing alongside with this.
If you have not yet opened it, I will add a youtube link for your convenience:
She has some other pretttty great tracks as well. And I am glad she says in her bio what style it is she is doing, as now I can say that oh yeah, THIS is the musical genre I like, I would have had no idea if it wasn’t like that.
Looking forward to see what she comes up with next and I think I would love to see her perform live – she lives and breathes the music she makes.
I may have an opportunity to also interview her (I hope she still agrees!), so let me know if this is something you would be interested in.
